As Shannon Dhokia, the founder of ABC MRS. D, I am excited to share my story with you. I have been asked many times what makes me an expert in the field of education, and I believe the answer is both simple and complex.

To start, I come from a family of educators. My grandfather, grandmother, parents, aunts, and cousins have all been involved in teaching in some capacity. It's safe to say that teaching runs in my blood. However, I don't rely on this familial background as my sole qualification.

I have spent years studying and working in the field of education. I have taught at different schools, with different student populations, and in different states. I have a degree in early childhood education, a master's degree in elementary education and counseling, and I am licensed to teach in seven states. I am also an adjunct professor at Dallas College, where I teach and mentor future early childhood educators.

But what really sets me apart and makes me passionate about ABC MRS. D is the need I have seen firsthand. I have witnessed the impact of limited access to resources and lack of preparedness in children's most formative years. It's heartbreaking to see children struggle and fall behind when they don't have the tools they need to succeed.

That's why I created ABC MRS. D - to provide resources, support, and guidance to parents and caregivers who want to give their children the best start in life. I believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive and succeed, and I want to help make that happen.

So, am I an expert? I don't think so. I don't believe there's such a thing as an expert in education, because there's always more to learn and new challenges to face. But I do believe that I have the experience, knowledge, and passion to make a difference. And that's what I hope to do with ABC MRS. D.
